Happy International Women’s Day!

Happy International Women’s Day!

8th Mar 2024

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we sat down with some of the team to ask them what they love most about ES and how we can inspire more inclusion in the workplace.

What do you love most about working at ES?

“I love the team morale and support we all provide each other. I’m inspired by the investment and focus on everyone to grow within their role and areas of interest beyond their initial role. This includes training and education on all areas of speciality coffee, allowing us to really step inside the shoes of our customers.” Kate – Customer Relationship Manager

“My favourite thing about ES is how dynamic the working environment is, which attracts an equally dynamic team. I've learnt so much because every day is a new challenge.” Anabel – Customer Service Co-ordinator

“I love the team dynamic here at ES! For someone who has only been here a month - I’ve had the best onboarding process, I know every one of my colleagues, and I’ve had proper training in speciality coffee. I feel so comfortable sharing my ideas and brainstorming with my team.” Georgie – Marketing Executive

“I love having the ability to openly speak my mind, share ideas comfortably and collaborate with others.” Taylia – Office Administrator

We’re incredibly proud to say that this year in 2024, over half our team is made up of women. As a company committed to fostering inclusion, we continually strive to inspire and champion women in our team and beyond.

How can more companies inspire inclusion?

“Inclusion can be inspired by providing a space where we people feel completely comfortable to ask questions and continue to be inquisitive at all times. I love that there’s no such thing as a silly question here at ES and having an open forum has fostered an inclusive workspace where we learn together. Knowledge should always be shared and provide opportunities for people to feel comfortable in areas they may not always feel comfortable in.” – Kate

“I think a good way to inspire inclusion is to encourage authentic communication by creating a dedicated space to discuss concerns, initiatives and individual needs.” – Anabel

“We need to celebrate each other and listen to one another - create a safe space where we can voice opinions, say what’s on our mind, what we’re struggling with. Work is where we spend most of our time, so let’s make it a happy one because it takes nothing to be kind to each other.” – Georgie

“Inclusion is vital to a healthy and happy working environment as it encourages creativity, and productivity and creates a sense of belonging, leaving no room for any type of discrimination. This can be introduced by team building days, brainstorming meets and something as simple as sending out questionnaires/surveys to understand what individuals’ thoughts are.” – Taylia

This International Women's Day, we stand in solidarity with women worldwide. But a massive thank you goes out to all the incredible, empowering women who form the backbone of Espresso Solutions. Your tireless commitment and unwavering dedication not only inspire us but also shape the very fabric of our team.
