This is a 1.6 Bar autocertified boiler safety valve with a 1/8M fitting.

The purpose of the safety valve is to release excessive steam pressure in the case of a fault in the steam heating system.

It is recommend that it is changed annually as the safety relief valve is an important safety feature of the steam boiler.
