This is a safety valve with a 3/8M fitting and self-certified CE to 1.5 Bar.

The purpose of the safety valve is to release excessive steam pressure in the case of a fault in the steam heating system.

It is recommend that it is changed annually as the safety relief valve is an important safety feature of the steam boiler.
