This is an adjustable safety valve with a M18 fitting. A suitable replacement for old San Marco safety valves.
The purpose of the safety valve is to release excessive steam pressure in the case of a fault in the steam heating system.
It is recommend that it is changed annually as the safety relief valve is an important safety feature of the steam boiler.
