Description
Original La Marzocco safety thermostat suitable for a wide range of La Marzocco espresso machines.
The safety thermostat provides thermal protection in the event of the boiler overheating. In an overheat condition, the safety thermostat no longer has continuity between the terminals.
Failure Mode
No continuity. Check for a reason why the safety thermostat was tripped before re-setting.
Testing
Check for good connections on the spade connectors, as poor connections can get hot and so trip the safety. Check for continuity with a multimeter. Note that there may be both single and double pole safety thermostats in the machine.
